In the book titles Business for the Glory of God, Wayne Grudem’s main theme is that â€Å"business itself glorifies God† (Grudem). Grudem touches on ownership, profit, money, competition, and borrowing and lending, glorify God because they are reflective of God’s nature (Grudem). First, I agree with Grudem’s point that â€Å"owning possessions is fundamentally good and provides many opportunities for glorifying God, but also many temptations to sin† (Grudem 19). â€Å"The heavens are the heavens of the LORD, but the earth He has given to the sons of men† (Psalm 115:16). In this verse, God declares that although He has created the earth and every person and item that is on the earth, He has entrusted men to possess the land and items that He has created. From a business prospective, owning land can be productive. If an individual or person owns land, then they can create jobs and hire people to fill those jobs. When people have jobs, then they are able to take care of themselves and their families. God wants all of His children to be able to provide for themselves and their families. In a sense, when a business owner provided someone with a job, they are praising God. This is because God calls all of His children to look after one another. â€Å"Sharewith the Lord’s people who are in need† (Romans 12:13). This is God’s message to business owners and those who have acquired His land to make money.
